A first collection of poetry. When I first started writing, it was during the ‘lock down’ years of 2021. I’d been travelling in early 2020 and stayed in place overseas for 20 months. It would be 22 months before I could return home. During this time, at one point in time, I began to write. There were reflections and memories to share. Poems, too. As I wrote, I posted them immediately to Instagram. With little thought to refine them or edit. They came, were written and I posted. After a year or so, someone suggested putting my Instagram poems together in a book and send to some friends for their feedback. So, this I did. Encouraged by their kind comments, I have put some of my poems in this first volume. Yes, there are more!!

The title is from one of the first poems I have written. It was written in response to a voice and songs in a language I didn’t understand …
